From Matt
There were circling helicopters many many many police, 4 or five dignitary cars and bomb squad/SWAT type of truck, but no presidential flags (you know, he ain't our POTUS yet). Matt is very excited.
We are heading down to the concert soon, although we just got a call from Erich's friend who says it's already packed w/ peeps.
But we need oatmeal!

Zipcar Altercation Haiku
A parking attendant ran to the car shouting and waving his fist. Erich rolled down the window and they got into it for a while. Bottom line, there has apparently been a problem with the Zipcar parking ticket system for some time and the parking ticket guy was going to take it out on us. He never calmed down. We drove away.
We were real mad. So on the walk to Matt & Leslie's hotel, I wrote a haiku, entitled "systemic parking ticket confusion." We then each took turns performing it. I would post it here, but it's inappropriate. But it was a great anger release. I highly recommend it.

Erich's friend Chris borrowed his cousin's food cart and sold Barack-worsts. The economy will survive!

Excellent.
Now the pressure is on. . . I'm a blogger
And I'm going to try to be the best blogger that I can: I'll be a doctor Inaugur-blogger. Its going to get real.
Check this out.
On January 21st (or is the 20th?), I'll be covering ALL the juicy inaguration-day-details LIVE, ON LOCATION from the Children's National Medical Center right here in Washington, DC!
Audience, be sure to tune in on January 20th (or is it the 21st) as I relate the dramatic reactions of the pediatric neurology inpatients and their families to Disney Channel's raw and uncensored coverage of the Inauguration Ceremony!
It will be real. I promise.
I should know. . . I'm a blogger now.
And now I have to go because Erich made deviled eggs.
